Before turning his attentions to hard dance, A.M.S. started out in music as a respected session artist. At just 13 years of age, A.M.S. performed as a guitarist and bass player for a host of live bands with his work taking him to Germany, Austria and France. Aged just 16, he had the privilege of playing with the Herbie Flowers in the band The Fingertips and also the legendary Arthur Brown, perhaps most famous for penning the seminal rock n’roll track ‘I Am The God Of Hell And Fire.’ Other achievements include playing on commercial albums with Tina Turner’s former drummer Malcom Mortimore as well as deputising for the legendary Herbie Flowers, the man co-wrote ‘Walk On The Wild Side’ with Lou Reed.
Today A.M.S. is owner of the fast-rising Switched On Records and is one of the most sought-after production talents in the rave scene.
Since exploding out of nowhere in 2002, his consistently innovative productions have made an appearance on every edition of React’s legendary Bonkers series since Bonkers 8. His work has also appeared on a number of other compilation albums, including all three editions of the successful ‘Hardcore Nation compilation, and the massive Clubland Hardcore Extreme album.
Alongside DJ Impact and under his Resist guise, A.M.S. has mixed his own compilation CD Hardcore Tunez 3 compilation, brought to you by www.happyhardcore.com.
With releases on Nukleuz, Switched On, Hardcore Collections, Relentless Vinyl, Master Wax, Executive, & Infexious Audio, A.M.S.’s contribution to the UK Hardcore scene has been immense.
A.M.S. is also an incredibly talented and versatile DJ, whose knowledge of the music he plays helps him rock dance floors week in week out. With a recent tour of Tokyo in Japan and continued appearances at Australia’s biggest events, from Sydney’s massive Utopia & Godspeed events at the Sydney Superdrome to the legendary Enchanted Festival in Adelaide, the future looks very bright for this rising star as he leaves his own distinctive mark on every dance floor.
